Karas Insurance Agencies Inc. is an Independent Agency in Croton-on-Hudson

The name Karas Insurance Agencies first appeared in 1974, but two agencies acquired in 1981 (Cole and Dimond Agency in Peekskill and Ralph Roberts Agency in Ossining) trace their roots back to 1926 and 1932, having continued in business for over 80 years.

Our objective has always been to provide people and businesses in the Hudson Valley area with a very high degree of professional service and knowledge of all phases of insurance. As an independent agent, representing many A-rated companies, we are able to tailor an insurance policy or program to an individual’s or business’s needs. Our goal is to offer the best possible service to our customers from the initial placement of the policy, through renewals, changes that may need to be made and if claims need to be filed.

Professionalism, value and service are what we offer, regardless of account size. The insurance carriers we represent are some of the strongest and most respected for their financial strength and service. Able to provide insurance to any company or person, our companies extend authority to us as your local source for quality coverage. Additionally, we enjoy having an extensive network with insurance wholesalers with whom we can insure the “hard to place” and the “unusual.” Karas Insurance Agencies Inc. belongs to the two major insurance trade associations, PIA (Professional Insurance Agents) and IIABNY (Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of NY.)
